Dr. Pham Vu Hoang
 

Dr. Pham Vu Hoang is Director of Center for Population Research, Information and Database (CPRID), General Office for Population and Family Planning (GOPFP), Ministry of Health (MOH) in Vietnam. He graduated from Faculty of Economic Math, National Economic University, Vietnam in 1996. In 2013, he received the PhD from National Economic University, Vietnam with the thesis entitled ‘The methods to improve the quality of care for elderly people in Vietnam’.

For the last 17 years, he has worked at CPRID [previously known as Centre for Population Study and Information (CPSI)] of National Commission for Population and Family Planning (NCPFP).

Dr. Pham Vu Hoang has intense knowledge and experiences in population science and this is especially in Data Processing, Statistics, Information System, Monitoring and Evaluate (M&E), and Research.

He has 4 books on ageing, population and family planning to his credit. In 2013, he was officially nominated for the Commissioner for the Global Commission on Ageing in Developing Countries.
