The dept has been in existence for 18 years now. Its academic staff are particularly strong in reproductive health issues, HIV/AIDS, and M&E. It has been running regular degree programmes in Population Studies, Reproductive Health, Population and Development as well as short courses and workshops in HIV/AIDS and M&E.
